Delivered through the network of School Sport Partnerships with the support of the County Sports Partnership network, a Leadership Academy is an out of school hours regular opportunity in which young people aged 14 - 19 years can develop their leadership skills and be supported to be deployed in a wide range of opportunities as active volunteers. Key outcomes of the Leadership Academy include:
• Provide mentoring support to young leaders on a group and individual basis.
• Signpost young leaders on to appropriate qualifications and awards.
• Provide the opportunity for young leaders to learn from their peers.
• Support young leaders to source appropriate placements and volunteering experiences.
On the 16th November 2009 there will be a launch event for this year's Leadership Academy. More details coming soon.
